Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
I’m a freelancer and I use it for about 10% of my work. Occasionally my clients require process diagrams for industrial systems or detailed drawings for screen printing or other similar manufacturing methods.
Pros
- Screen printing CAD
- 2D CAD
- Laser printing CAD
- P&IDs
Cons
- Adjustable patterning; right now when you pattern something it can’t be changed
- I’m able to give my clients another type of deliverable they need that is slightly outside the scope of 3D cad.
Good when using the more simple features of drawing and dimensioning. Active patterns would be a big improvement for draftsight.
