Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I am the only one in our department who uses DraftSight. We often need to design custom fixtures and jigs for our processes and DraftSight has been useful in creating files that can later be used in programing our CNC milling machines.
  • The interface is familiar to those who know AutoCAD.
  • The controls are intuitive and easy to learn.
  • DraftSight works well with all DWG, and DXF files that I have loaded into it.
  • It is hard to create borders and notations for drawing printouts.
  • The yearly subscription is low cost.
  • It has fewer features, but basic features are the same.
  • Controls and user interface is similar
  • DraftSight is great for creating DXF files that can be used to create G-code for CNC applications.
  • The controls are very similar to AutoCAD, so skills are transferrable.
