Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

I use DraftSight to design bespoke vacuum lifting systems and crane support systems. These can vary from 250 kg safe working loads to around 2,000 kg safe working loads. I use the CAD software from start to finish on the project, even down to laying the systems out on the factory floor. This helps me improve the working environment for the operators and keep other operators safe.

I complained to SOLIDWORKS that it is very basic. But compared to AutoCAD and 3RHINO, DraftSight works so much better. The other two I find hard to use and are not straightforward at all. AutoCAD at the start seems to be better but once you use DraftSight more and more, you soon realize how much simpler it is when offering the same features.
It is basic enough to do quick and easy drawings for quick layouts, while keeping everything a simple as possible, enabling you to be able to create advanced drawings. Other softwares struggle to keep the simplicity.
I am still getting used to creating a board for my drawings sheets. I think this could be made better and easier.
