Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight
Used by individual department for light-duty 2D design. The majority of our design work is done on 3D parametric design tools, but there are times when we need a 2D design tool. Due to this requirement, we needed a tool that was low cost yet still powerful. DraftSight fit that bill perfectly.
- Keyboard shortcut same as AutoCAD
- Functional tools
- Easy to personalize
- Maybe a few more power tools in the base package
- No major impact
- PTC Creo and AutoCAD LT
DraftSight doesn't even compare to CREO. CREO is a 3D parametric solid modeler. DraftSight is just a 2D tool. So, I guess it depends on what you want to do. If you need to do some layout work, use a 2D tool. Otherwise use a 3D tool.
