Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

We use DraftSight by all designers in our engineering department. It provides a consistent and cost-effective CAD platform for creating electrical SLD's, dimensioned equipment layouts, and other miscellaneous design documents. We typically convert completed documents into PDF format of various sizes, and also use .dwg files as templates for starting points on other projects.

DraftSight is well suited for us as a small company looking for an accessible CAD platform with strong capabilities for 2D drafting that is easily paid for for only the required employees (affordable per-person rates).
I haven't used or seen examples of DraftSight's use or ability to be used as a 3D drafting or parametric design tool.
