The Perfect App for Free and Easy Vector-Based Designing
Overall Satisfaction with Drawtify
I use Drawtify for "on the go" design needs because it is an online vector application, which means I don't need to have my personal computer with my downloaded software on it in order to use it. This is helpful if I am working in a group of non-designers and need to show them something quickly using a vector application. (Most non-designers wouldn't have a vector application downloaded on their computer and even if they do they can tend to run rather slow since they are very large apps.) Drawtify solves the problem of being able to use vector-based software no matter what computer you're on, as long as you have access to the internet, not to mention it's free (with a premium upgrade option)!
Pros
- Adobe Illustrator alternative
- Online-based application
- Free software with a premium upgrade option
- Fast and easy
- Thousands of templates
Cons
- More fonts
- Ability to download a vector format with free version
- Ability to edit/create your own layers
- Ease of use
- Accessibility
- Free subscription
- Online based software
- More users able to use the software
- Easier for sharing files between colleagues
- Can be used on anyone's computer (software does not need to be installed/downloaded)
The most common software that Drawtify probably gets compared to is Adobe Illustrator, but there are very obvious reasons why you would use one over the other. Adobe Illustrator is usually a designer's main vector software and what they would use to create professional, final designs. It is a very expensive software, and very complex - anyone who isn't a professional designer probably wouldn't be a very good candidate to use it. On the other hand, Drawtify can really be used by anyone who is moderately tech-savvy. It isn't as complex, doesn't need to be downloaded on your computer, and can be used completely for free. It also has tons of templates, which is very helpful for non-designers.
