Overall Satisfaction with Duo Security

Duo Security is being used to verify logins to the company VPN as an authenticator application across the entire organization to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Keeps hackers out
  • Works seamlessly with many devices and operating systems
  • Easier integration across mobile/push notification apps (for example, Android > Windows with Pushbullet, so I don't have to log onto a VPN from my computer, then open my phone for the Duo app. A better solution would be to integrate responses with push notification apps)
  • A greater sense of trust in online access, especially in larger organizations where oversight is minimal and teams are distributed remotely.
For the most part, Duo Security has been great. It is easy to use and has minimal interference. The frustrations arise when one changes their phone number or gets a new device, at which point at my organization, I needed to spend a lengthy period of time working with a high-level tech operations person to assist with getting my credentials up and running. It may have been the internal implementation at the time, as more recent phone updates did not require that much oversight.

Do you think Cisco Duo delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Cisco Duo's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Duo live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cisco Duo go as expected?

No

Would you buy Cisco Duo again?

Yes

Duo Security works very well with organizations where two-factor security is an important concern. In our internet organization, it operates as a trusted authenticator app allowing users remotely in global offices to access our proprietary intranets without the possibility of external breaches.
