Overall Satisfaction with EveryAction

EveryAction is our philanthropy software for our daughter database.

  • Gifts and payments.
  • Acknowledgements
  • Bulk uploads.
  • Long-term pledge payments.
  • Soft credit/attribution.
  • Dashboard options.
  • Our old system was very antiquated and built specifically for United Way. EveryAction has allowed much of our duplicate work to be eliminated. Thus saving us money and time.
  • Gift entry is simplified. We like having different form options online. However, we would appreciate it if we could have a pledge form template created that we could then modify to suit our needs. As United Way operates, at least 50% of its income is from pledges. That would save significant time and effort on our part.
I expected more. We made the decision not to transfer data from my old system into EveryAction, starting fresh and new. But when we have sought assistance, it is rarely given. We are most often directed to the training videos. That component I will add, is very frustrating and upsetting.
I have really no opinion. Either way, we have not experienced this type of situation as of yet. But I will restate that we have not found customer service to be as helpful as we would have liked.
Every action has saved us considerable time! And simplification for data entry and reporting. And all of the components that go with that. It has been phenomenal. We have not used the system truly beyond that, but we feel that without proper training and explanation, we will not be able to use as much of the system as we had hoped.

Blackbaud is a Cadillac, and not needed by most small nonprofits of 3 million or less in income. We looked at several prior to choosing EveryAction. We are very pleased with EveryAction but wish that the training was more involved from a corporate perspective and that customer service could actually help more.
As United Way, we are unique, in that we collect pledges in a fiscal year, but the payments on those pledges are made in a calendar year. For example, the pledges are received in the fall. Beginning in January, payments on those pledges begin through December. So, the opposite of a fiscal year. It makes Viewing our actual dollars and pledges extremely difficult. We must run multiple reports every day to be able to see what I need to see on a daily basis.
