Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the F5 BIG-IP System to publish secured internal hosted apps. The most common deployments are licensed with Best Bundle because we need not only the LTM. WAF is a very important function that we used. Also the APM is a good thing because we need to do a pre-authentication before accessing our web applications. We recognized that a lot of customers are facing with a lot of complex scenarios and that has to be resolved with Irules.

F5 BIG-IP is a good product when you want to secure several apps like modern apps and legacy apps. For such a few virtual servers the product is too expensive. But we recommend our customers to use the F5 BIG-IP in a cluster for a redundancy. Furthermore all virtual servers should be secured by a WAF.
