Overall Satisfaction with F5 BIG-IP

We use it for critical business function and it is major revenue impact. The products range from LTM, DNS, APM and we use it extensively for WEB, APP, DB, API control, SSLVPN. This is also assist to achieve active active data center on multi datacenter and multitenant setup for the service always on target.

Pros

  • LTM works well
  • DNS works well
  • APM required some intensive engineering but overall is working

Cons

  • The BIG-IQ need improve asset identify
  • The new R series will be a learning curve
  • Ensure business always ready across multi DC
  • Ensure no downtime with LTM , load balance
  • Ensure compliance and security is in place (WAF)
We have been using it for 10 years and it is by far meet all functional aspect,

LTM and DNS is working well .

For APM SSLVPN it is challenging but overall is working.
