Pros

Very granular allowing use to make fine adjustments
highly available enabling us to have better SLAa
gives detailed logging

Cons

some things require a lot of adjustment to work, like syslog over SSL required us a lot of config changes and still doesn't function quite right

Return on Investment

the uptime and performance are positive but cost and difficult administration are usually seen as the downside

Its very powerful, but needs to be learned and not very intuitive to anyone unfamiliar with it
