FactSet Workstation has provided me with all the essential information I need as an analyst to conduct detailed reports on equity securities. While FactSet Workstation certainly stacks up in terms of quantity of data with other providers, the quality is top-notch. I can directly see the source of each line item on a financial statement which gives me confidence what I see is factual data directly from the companies I follow. The workstation is full of very useful tools like market intelligence where I can stay updated on macro events and what's going on in the markets.
