Overall Satisfaction with GarageBand

GarageBand is a nice tool to use for editing audio tracks or developing an audio track to use for something like a video, radio ad, or the like.

I have used GarageBand to edit podcast episodes, edit soundtracks for video and even seen it used for music/songs.

GarageBand isn't currently being used by our whole organization, but rather by me specifically to test different marketing and outreach programs such as podcasting and video-blogs.

GarageBand is a simple tool that any organization can use to edit soundtracks, audio files and more for marketing purposes. If you're looking into podcasting and need a simple tool to edit the audio files - this will do a great job.
  • Equalizes multiple audio tracks.
  • Cuts and splices multiple audio files.
  • So many features one can get lost.
  • The learning curve is steep then mellows out.
  • This has made podcasting much easier which means more episodes.
  • Due to the simplicity of recording podcasts, we have seen an increase in user traffic.
GarageBand isn't the most powerful audio editing tool on the market, but for a free tool to Apple users... you can't go wrong.

This tool has all the features a beginning user would ever need... and more! It's no Adobe platform, but if you're testing an idea or trying something new, don't waste the money on Adobe just to be disappointed/deterred with the complexity.

If you're just getting into podcasting, music production, audio editing - use this! Once you get familiar with GarageBand and all the different tools that are available and how to best use them, that's when I'd look to upgrade. You'll be able to better appreciate a tool like Adobe Audition once you've mastered the features of a free tool like GarageBand.
GarageBand doesn't have a dedicated support phone number to my knowledge.

However, there is TONS of user support online if you're looking for it. All the users that are GarageBand experts are more than willing to help with problems/how-tos if you're stuck. There is a breadth of advice on forums, both Apple and not. Not to mention the advice that you can find on YouTube.
