Overall Satisfaction with Gemini

I used ChatGPT Plus as a reference in my previous organization, and CoPilot associated with M365 in my current one. In both cases, I complemented their use with Gemini. When dealing with professional matters, you often need to compare information and opinions, especially when the source is AI. In addition to comparing it with scientific literature, traditional internet sources, etc., I usually use other, different AIs. The results are sometimes surprising.

Pros

  • The new image editing functionality surprised me
  • In general, file loading is better than in other AI programs
  • I think it's somewhat faster than other AI programs, or at least that's the impression it usually gives
  • Features like canvas and deep research are very interesting

Cons

  • The mobile app sometimes has problems, especially with long conversations; the website, however, doesn't
  • It's prone to hallucinations during long conversations, and other AIs like ChatGPT simply cut it off, which is also a problem
  • I've noticed that it tends to contradict itself if you test it or insist on arguments for and against the topic of conversation
  • I've noticed that it tends to provide more inaccurate information than other AIs; on the other hand, I also think it's the one that has made the most significant improvement recently
  • The problem is that few companies conduct a serious study of the profitability associated with integrating AI into their business, but it clearly offers advantages
  • However, it is essential to have professionals who can leverage AI effectively; otherwise, the investment will be pointless
  • In general, AI can significantly reduce the time an employee spends on their work; however, it is necessary to define how that freed-up time will be used
  • Some companies are evaluating Gemini and other similar systems as replacements for people, but I don't see this as a general-purpose solution, and I still see commercially available AI technology as a long way off
I think the smartphone app needs some work; it sometimes acts strangely, freezes, or doesn't load long conversations on the first try.The website, in general, hasn't given me any problems, especially from a PC.The integration of Gemini with other apps from the manufacturer is a step forward, making it easier to access this functionality seamlessly.Initiatives like notebooklm also offer an interesting bonus. And all this is just the beginning; AI will eventually become our gateway to internet knowledge, where Google currently reigns supreme.
In my case, it's not that Gemini won; I simply use Gemini regularly as a backup plan to compare results obtained with the leading AI in my corporate environment. I believe it's important to have this comparison of results, especially when dealing with critical issues. I think the most powerful AIs for the general public today are ChatGPT and Gemini, in that order, although CoPilot is very well positioned due to its integration with widely used Microsoft products in the corporate world.

Do you think Gemini delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Gemini's feature set?

Yes

Did Gemini live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Gemini go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Gemini again?

Yes

There are many strong players in the AI field. Overall, I think ChatGPT is the most accomplished, and CoPilot has the greatest advantage in terms of market penetration due to its integration with leading productivity tools in the business world (M354, Office, Outlook, etc.). Others like Claude and Mistral also have compelling arguments, but in general, ChatGPT, CoPilot, and Gemini are the most accessible to the public and small and medium-sized businesses, and they will likely dominate the market. I would say that Gemini started out a bit underdeveloped, but it has quickly caught up and is now a major competitor and a benchmark, and it also offers the possibility of integrating with tools from the giant Google.
