Overall Satisfaction with GitLab
Gitlab is a popular repository hosting platform that provides a cloud-based repository for project collaboration. We are using it to manage daily version controlling of the software we are developing that is git and using GitLab as a cloud source where we store all of our code since while building software we need to maintain different versions and GitLab uses the concept of branches to store different versions other things it does better is the security of our code!

We have chosen GitLab for simplicity, at the initial phases it does provide all the things we need but as the project is getting to the next stage we have trouble with pipelining and DevOps. So we moved to Azure DevOps later but overall GitLab is great for beginners it provides all the things we needed!
Yes, we did move to GitLab paid plan but haven't noticed any security vulnerabilities so I can't comment on this but overall GitLab is safe and secure to use.
Yes, it does the job but the configuration of CI/CD is really difficult on GitLab in my opinion.
