Overall Satisfaction with Google Cloud Storage

Google Cloud Storage (GCS) is very easy to use, it's very intuitive. Works pretty well to keep an important amount of files, if you won't need [them] too often. If you need them frequently, probably you will need extra tools to manage (like FTP tools) them. In this point, GCS is not that good because the connection is not that easy to establish. I did it but It's cost me days of works to find out how to connect GCS and the FTP app. Additionally, when you use GCS with instances, well, it's a little complicated.
  • It's quick, especially, to upload files.
  • The UI is pretty clean and very intuitive.
  • It's simple, nothing extraordinary.
  • The connection with local servers or your own computer.
  • You never know if you choose the right region or area.
  • It's inexpensive
  • it's possible to connect very easily with other services like cloud accelerators, keeping costs low
  • You have to pay it every 30 days
  • Amazon and Azure
I tried a couple other alternatives but like GCS a lot, mainly because it's easy to understand. It practically follows the same idea and structure of many other Google products. Amazon is good, it's fast and cheap but the UI is something that confused me a lot. Additionally, I don't really have too much time to learn a new platform every month, so I keep to search tools that are easy to manage. And of course, scalable.
I tried several clouds and if your project is quite simple, well, in that case, I would recommend GCS. It's also inexpensive and it's reasonable for the performance at the moment to upload or download a file. If your project is a little complex or demands a lot of resources, probably won't be a good option. In this case I suggest other kinds of tools like VM.
