Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Grammarly when writing mails or using word file for a job application. The product addresses problems like spelling errors, punctuation and grammatically correct sentences while writing. The main scope I would say is writing professional business English, as we often tend to speak casual English that will have influence while writing and Grammarly helps me based on the theme if it is for school/work/other projects.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Quick spelling checks as I write
Suggest grammatically correct sentences, such as capital letters in the middle of a sentence or an article wherever required.
Option to rephrase a sentence or ignore if you feel you are confident with your English
And also, punctuation errors. The popping "G" button on the screen turns red along with some errors when there exist mistakes to be corrected.

Cons

Sometimes it may become annoying when you are trying to use words that are from the German language, and it keeps suggesting that I was trying to write some word in English
I think having the option to write clear and concise sentences can be made free to all users instead of providing the feature exclusively for pro users.
If I am trying to move the popping "G" button to the sides, it only moves top or bottom corner and not to the sides/ or where I wish to place it. That flexibility is much needed in my personal experience.

Return on Investment

As a student, my mails to professors do not look childish and maintains decent profile.
As a student with a part-time technical job, although I am allowed to have some deviations and be a little influenced by the tone I use, Grammarly won't let me deviate in any case while writing professional emails to my supervisor or HR.
Grammarly has had a positive impact on me and my documentation skills and report writing for my projects with almost minimal to no errors.

Usability

I give this rating because I am super happy with how it has been super helpful tool in writing cover letters or reports or mails either to professors or to supervisors without having to worry about the tone. And as a free user I get spelling checks, grammar checks, and punctuation checks done Right away as I write real time.

Alternatives Considered

QuillBot

I have used Grammarly the most by installing it in my windows laptop and by adding an extension to my Microsoft Edge. With the QuillBot, I have just used it on website for trail years before and it kept asking to pay somehow that was super annoying personally. And later in 2020 my brother introduced me to Grammarly and I have just been sincerely using since then.

Likelihood to Recommend

Based on my experience, it is well suited for students and working professionals whose native language isn't English. As a student I can write error free cover letters and job applications and for working professionals (I do part time technical job) One can write decent mails without having to worry about the tone as the Grammarly has super quick suggestions right away.
