Overall Satisfaction with Grammarly

I use Grammarly to edit essays, papers, and other written documents to that there are no spelling mistakes, better clarity, and an overall better written work. Spelling mistakes are embarrassing in professional work so it helps make our work look a lot better than otherwise. I have it installed on my browser.

Pros

  • Spelling mistakes
  • Adding to dictionary
  • Free writing enhancements

Cons

  • Can make your writing one dimensional
  • The colors can be annoying
  • Does not work well on outlook
  • Fixed 100s of spelling errors on papers
  • Improved confidence that errors were fixed
  • Makes writing clearer for non native speakers
Works well on everything but Microsoft products. The online word, teams, PowerPoint, and others have poor accuracy of where the suggestions show up and where you need to click to deal with them. The system catches most errors and does make good suggestions for improvement. The UI is good as well.

Do you think Grammarly delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Grammarly's feature set?

Yes

Did Grammarly live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Grammarly go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Grammarly again?

Yes

It's good for writing essays, papers, reports, and other written works were grammar accuracy and writing clearly are the most important. It's less useful for creative works where your particular style should shine through over what is supposedly the best. Also does not work on Outlook or teams well. The free tier gives you a good amount of premium changes.
