Overall Satisfaction with HipChat

We use it to keep both our remote team and office teams connected. We love the ability to search, the bots, the gifs, and the ability to connect over time zones, over states, etc. We love that it is free -- allows us to collaborate. It is a good response to those who may be averse to using Slack.

  • Desktop or through browser

Cons

  • Could use less bots.
  • We dont need so many points or options to gain points.
This tool is well suited for large teams who enjoy collaborating and working together. Gets remote teams talking, sharing info, working together. I could see this tool being used on small teams all the way up to around a 100 person team. You need someone, or a few folks, to manage the tool.
