Overall Satisfaction with Hoxhunt
Hoxhunt helps with understanding the different ways that a person can receive emails with suspicious links and attachments and how to navigate it. It's all about patiently checking and reporting such emails. I've attended various trainings in the past and they do emphasize this but this was a lot more practical and even personally this has helped me avoid a lot of scams and clicking on suspicious links. I've also educated close friends and family about how to avoid such situations as we can lose access to everything like passwords, bank account information, money, etc.
Pros
- Shows you what kind of attachments and links to not click on
- Hovering over links to see where the page leads
- Attention to the email address received from as well
Cons
- Adding in examples of what kinds of scams are out there
- Highlighting with reports released regularly that discuss such situations
- Adding in more alerts from time to time about trends in the world when it comes to hacking and phishing
- Definitely a positive impact as I have a lot of clients reaching out so helps me distinguish if the email was from them or someone else
- Helps safeguard our and client's information
- Made me more alert as well than just clicking on random links
Symantec was something I used in my previous company, it had some issues once in a while where I had to re-generate the code for my new ID. I know its for over all protection, but if I didn't have my phone that day, I'd be unable to log in. Hoxhunt helps that way as there is a SSO authentication and needs the fingerprint, I guess it works different for different companies based on their regulations and privacy protection. Haven't really used any other tool like this.
