Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Apptio is for managing cloud costs and infrastructure monitoring, we also use it to create and modify reports and monitor issues across our servers.

Pros and Cons

Pros

i like that it makes environment management much easier and efficient without any issues
it gives a centralized solution and allows me to monitor everything, including cloud costs
the IT Planning module helps me build budgets from scratch and keeps everything transparent

Cons

there are integration gaps between the modules
sometimes the TBM Studio module gets slow and clunky

Return on Investment

i was able to save cloud costs using Apptio
it gave me detailed visibility, and I can now monitor and report problems faster
forecasting and budgeting became much smoother, and leadership can see clear breakdowns

Features

It’s an intuitive tool—after just a few days, I could pull out useful insights from our environment and the flexibility to modify reports and create new ones has been a huge plus.

Support Rating

Customer support is decent, and I’ve reached out to Apptio a few times. But some of the feature requests I sent didn’t really go anywhere.
