Low cost but no support
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud for VMware Solutions
We were looking to migrate our VMware workloads into a hosted VMware solution. While the pricing is very competitive, the support is lacking or basically nonexistent. The product is also extremely slow and the interface lacks quite a bit. The vCloud director interface is standard, but it's so slow to respond that it's almost unusable at times, and the disks are so slow its not suitable for any real workloads. We upgraded to advanced support but they were not really any help--just responded a bit faster (two days vs. a week).
Pros
- Low cost
- Ability to add or remove resources easily and quickly
Cons
- Support is horrible and or non-existent
- Documentation is out of date and incorrect for the most part
- IBM employees and salespeople are not aware of features or offerings
- Does not integrate the Zerto, only Veeam and has limited options for data migration
- We wasted three months and countless hours, but it did not cost much with IBM
