Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage

The whole organization uses it. We use it to store casual and critical data. We also sometimes upload our saved meetings, calendars, and reports to be available for all employees. It is useful as it facilitates sharing some data with other businesses we work with. The most important thing we can use this data for is exploratory analysis and data visualization without downloading it. We take the results to create insightful reports and sometimes use AI functions.
  • Easy sharing
  • Database analysis without downloading files or using any API
  • High levels of security
  • Simplification of the interface
  • Renaming some features to be more easily understood, as some words are very ambiguous
  • The ROI is not great. I think it's because we have to use another service that the businesses we work with are using (and not use IBM because it has a difficult interface).
Analyzing data directly with no need to download or incorporate any other servers or applications is the best feature of IBM Cloud.
It's good but not largely helpful. We already have high-speed internet service. Some of us are using IBM Aspera but not all because it's built on focusing the internet speed on the uploading process which can slow down our overall speed.
We use these features with some of the high-level clients to manage data access levels, but it's not widely used here yet.
Some of our clients use Google Cloud and some use Amazon. But we use IBM Cloud Object Storage mainly for the incorporated SQL server that allows us to analyze data easily and efficiently.
The ability to work on data stored in the cloud directly without downloading it is the best feature. The worst aspect of IBM Cloud Storage is the difficult-to-understand terms used in the settings and security features.
