Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage
I have used Object Storage to store educational material online. It keeps material safe. I share my bucket objects with my team members which allows them to access it anytime anywhere through shared link. It solved the issue of sharing same resources again & again through social media. It saves data as I just have to share a link, not the whole file.
Pros
- Easy to use.
- Its lite plan is absolutely free. No other cloud services providers have free plan or provide trial without adding credit card.
- Your data remains secure online.
- Buckets are very useful in sharing resources.
Cons
- Please provide some video tutorials for new users as new users think it is difficult to use.
- Our organization is not that large of a business. Not seen any impact. But think it will produce great positive impact on large-scale businesses.
It is very beneficial as there's no need to install external software for the same. It is very useful for making data analysis and data manipulation easy. Also it makes database handling easy and efficient. For a new user it will be great as no need to install software. It is easy because of serverless connectivity and useful for data analysis as it can be used with CSV and JSON datasets also.
It is very effective in transferring large amounts of files and datasets. It also provides reliable and secure transfer of data. It is very useful in web console management.
Yes, as I can store all data online it reduces cost for storage devices. It not only saves money but also saves time. And everyone knows the value of time.
- Google Cloud Datastore, Google Cloud Storage, Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Amazon Web Services
Above listed do not provide free trial at all. IBM provided me with free lite plan so we can try it first for free. And I think this is the best thing about IBM.
