Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Object Storage

It is being used by our hosting department, which I oversee, to backup data from our main servers and primary backup storage servers. It allows us to ensure that all customers' data, and other particulars are kept in a safe, off-server "holding area". This also allows us to make changes to our primary backup servers without worry that we will lose any files.

  • Allows for safe off-server storage methods
  • Very easy setup with Linux OS

Cons

  • More documentation
  • Bring in a script to automatically do the setup
  • Allows us to have dated backups
Easier to use. Clear and documented control panel.
cPanel really utilizes the storage method well for backups, and we are able to tweak IBM Cloud Object Storage for all of our uses.
