Overall Satisfaction with IBM POWER9 Servers
We utilize our IBM POWER9 Servers across our organization. It's an extremely reliable platform. We host not only IBM but also AIX and Linux on Power9 with the platform.
- Uptime for the platform is great, with easy ways to service it without any downtime.
- Hosting virtual machines allows us to have multiple environments
- Great power for the value, the cost-to-performance is excellent.
- Implementation of more open source tools to allow for common administration.
- More options for new user training from IBM or partners.
- It allows us to work at scale without needing racks full of equipment.
- A small group of administrators can execute whole solutions.
- It can be made very secure when properly configured.
- Provides a great ecosystem of partner applications and solutions.
Performance has increased over IBM Power8 and it scales very nicely.
