Overall Satisfaction with Infor VISUAL
We have been using the Visual Time & Attendance (VTA) module for approximately a year now. We are in the middle of our implementation into Visual 8.0 across the whole organization.
Visual 8.0 will be used enterprise wide. We merged with a larger company 14 months ago and we are now in the process of combining systems into Visual. It will handle our accounting systems and scheduling.

Pros
- Visual provides a one-stop shop for our organization.
Cons
- VTA has been extremely unreliable. I would not recommend it. It is not customizable at all. There is no logical way to handle shift differentials which is a huge issue with a company that runs 24/7.
- If you do not have a schedule set up, they cannot clock in. This poses a problem for anyone that gets called in on a shift they don't normally work on.
- Will increase efficiency, will streamline our processes, especially in Customer Service and Scheduling.
VTA doesn't even come close to Ascentis in the realm of timekeeping.
Infor VISUAL Feature Ratings
Using Infor VISUAL
750 - Top to bottom - the whole organization will be using Infor Visual from our operators entering their part counts and times to the CFO getting financials.
5 - IT support group
- Scheduling/inventory management
- Order processing and bidding
- Accounting
Infor VISUAL Implementation
- Vendor implemented
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks. The new systems are very intimidating for our more tenured employees.
- Getting down into the nitty gritty of what we need to have happen compared to what we are doing now.
Infor VISUAL Support
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
None | Poor followup Less knowledgeable Not kept informed Difficult to get immediate help Need to explain problems multiple times |
No - Our company expects our IT team to handle the VTA system due to the costs for support. They are not qualified to do this and makes things more difficult than need be.
Not at all. I haven't even tried.
