Overall Satisfaction with IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS
We use it for capacity planning and general knowledge about our systems; how they're running, common issues, how we can improve performance, etc. So far IntelliMagic has [been] very helpful when it comes to see[ing] long term trends and new problems we are starting to see as a result of growth. The ability to dive deep into the graphs is something that is provided only by IntelliMagic, no other monitoring software, real-time or not, has that ability.

Elasticsearch simply cannot handle the amount of data that zOS sends. It also cannot store the long term data. Splunk works fine, but for some reason we only use it for very specific data so I can't compare it to IntelliMagic. However, Splunk likely wouldn't be good for historical data because that's not what it was designed for.
