Overall Satisfaction with IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS

We use [IntelliMagic] Vision [for z/OS] to provide information for our mainframe disk environments. [IntelliMagic] Vision [for z/OS] provides many reports to help us understand our disk performance activity. This insures that we provide the best response time to the mainframe. It also provide us insight to capacity planning as well.

  • Report on I/O activity
  • Provide color codes for problem areas
  • Maybe - solutions based on problems [IntelliMagic] Vision [for z/OS] detected
  • Disk performance reporting and analysis
  • It [has] aided us in providing performance statistics to show good or bad response time for batch or online workloads.
  • It helps us insure our disk maintains the level of service we expect and provides warnings when it doesn't.
intellimagic vision was my first choice and never reviewed other similar products.

[IntelliMagic] Vision [for z/OS] is a great product to report on many aspects of disk performance. We use Hitachi and Hitachi provides a tool (MAR) to provide RMF records to report on [their] internals. [IntelliMagic] Vision [for z/OS] uses that data to produce reports. I find them very helpful and [they] provide further info other than data provided by RMF. It does provide insights for CPU and z/OS as well [even] though we don't have the license to do so. I can't think of a better product for disk performance reporting and analysis.
