Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used InterSystems IRIS only in a few departments at the time, but it was still under expansion for more departments. We used it mainly for creating APIs and BI and communication purposes. Some features that set IRIS apart from others was the support to open technologies and database access.

The rapid development of solutions make it useful for solving customer problems. Parallel query execution is a tool which makes IRIS better than other alternatives. Using IRIS was a little confusing at first, and takes good amount of time to get used to the platform, especially for beginners. Training is recommended.
