Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive
Pros
- A/B testing - switching out images and text.
Cons
- We were sold on the fact that it's easy to use and a non-developer can use it. However, every time we needed to create a form or use sliders where javascript/jquery was needed, we had to get developers to help either from Ion interactive or our own team. So conclusion: it's not easy to use.
- When A/B testing the URL doesn't change so when submitting forms to Eloqua (where we collect the data) we don't know which A/B link it came from. We figured out a solution to this where we are passing an extra form field we've named LiveBall Template where we set the value to A or B so we know. Would be nice if there was a query variable in the URL we could modify.
- Would be nice to have reporting showing heat spots where user clicks most etc on a landing page.
- Since we didn't have a tool before like this were we could A/B test, ROI has been positive. We like the tool. We just don't like that it's not very easy to use nor very intuitive.
