Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive

ion Interactive is used throughout our creative department at our agency as an essential tool for content creation/marketing when applicable. We use ion to build out engaging landing pages/full experiences with rich content to help solve our clients' problems. This program allows us to launch such creatives in a timely manner with ease, and the use of not needing a web developer—which benefits everyone by saving time and money.
  • ion has a great online chat support feature. This is great to have because they’re always more than happy to help with any troubles you have.
  • ion offers plenty of prebuilt assets/templates and 'Quick Starts' that are easy to use. These are great because they require very little training to learn and they help you to learn and understand how the program works.
  • ion needs to have an undo feature. While working in the program, it can be very easy to move content somewhere not wanted/delete something by accident, etc., and it can really cause you lots of time trying to figure out how to fix it. I think it would be great a feature many would like to see integrated within the program.
  • We've run into issues trying to get custom/3rd party widgets (ex. countdown clocks, different image galleries) to work and it seemed that all ion could really do for us, was give us a quote for them to build a custom widget, instead of getting these to work. I think it would be really nice to have access to more customizable widgets and stuff like this that everyone could work with, instead of just the Quick Starts.
  • ion has pushed us more into the digital world, allowing us to to be able to create and lunch microsites for clients all in-house without any developer, saving the client and us, money and time.
iON is great for launching smaller sites/landing pages and getting them built very fast for your client. WordPress seems to be more robust and complex, being able to create larger sites (taking much more time), but each to their own has their own specific things to use them for.
ion definitely has its times to use it and to not. We typically use ion when we want to launch microsites for specific campaigns, landing pages to events, and other small creatives that could utilize a quick/robust website. Likewise, we would never use this tool to build out anything major that actually requires a developer, like a businesses website/etc.
