Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are currently using it to manage all of our Apple devices on our college campus. We recently transitioned to using Apple products because of student demand. Mainly, we use JAMF Pro to deploy applications when students first receive their laptop and to maintain updates on other university Apple devices. It is a great tool for managing and tracking our Apple assets.

Pros

Nice UI
Fairly easy to learn
GREAT customer support

Cons

Sometimes the search function for devices does not work properly
It's hard to bulk remove management profiles
You have to completely uninstall and reinstall the admin tools when there is an update

Return on Investment

We shortened the amount of time it takes to set up students' laptops

Likelihood to Recommend

If you want to manage Apple products and maintain updates as well as deploy programs, Jamf Pro is a great tool. I also use it to manage different Apple products like Macs, iPads, and even Apple TVs (albeit, Jamf is working on trying to push out Apple updates to Apple TVs).
