Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am just one site administrator of many in Jamf Pro, as it is used across our entire university for management of our Apple devices. It is currently used for a variety of common administrative tasks, and we are currently using it to implement our "Endpoint Protection Standards" for our macOS devices.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Deployment of printers with Self Service
Deployment of software with Self Service
Securing of devices with FileVault, firmware passwords
Ability to deploy custom scripts

Cons

Better, more intuitive scheduling of software deferment.
It would be nice is documentation could provide more explanation, e.g. examples of what certain features do.
Speed

Return on Investment

ROI is not discussed in my job role, but I will say that the ability to manage devices remotely is important, and Jamf gives us the ability to effectively manage and troubleshoot numerous situation from our office.

Likelihood to Recommend

Jamf is well suited for software deployment and management policies. It's incredibly granular, and can accommodate pretty much any use case you throw at it. I can't think of a scenario where it is not appropriate to use Jamf for management of your Apple devices.
