Overall Satisfaction with JIRA Software
JIRA is being used across the organization by a wide array of users. We use it for issue tracking and sprints as well as as a product pipeline. It allows us to adequately track and communicate easily with other JIRA users in the organization and accomplish many different things quickly and effectively.
- JIRA is great for tracking issues
- It allows for excellent communication with other JIRA users
- It's easy to search and navigate the platform
- Administration of JIRA is very easy and straightforward
- Documentation is generally pretty good as is JIRA support
- Sometimes the documentation is a bit tricky to find depending on what version you're running
- Troubleshooting complex issues when you use multiple plugins can be difficult
- JIRA has allowed us to streamline our development process and sprint planning
- We have leveraged it in other use cases to allow us to create custom workflows for other departments
- It allows the company to be more focused on objectives and they are visible by a wide array of users
One similar tool I have used for sprint planning is Trello. In comparison, JIRA is much more feature rich and has a lot more functionality whereas Trello is pretty simple and straight forward. JIRA is an industry standard platform that is used by large and small companies worldwide, so it was an easy choice to make.
