Overall Satisfaction with Jira Software
We are using Jira Software to track and manage everything for a project. Right from requirement logging as an epic/user stories to tracking their deliverables.
We are using Jira [Software] across whole organization, everything is tracked under different components/department levels with the restricted access level restrictions around it.
Kanban boards are used to get the holistic view of project such what is present in backlog to in build/test. We are working in agile and Jira [Software] helping us to manage everything for us.
Pros
- Kanban boards to get holistic view of project requirements/deliverables
- Generates different type of out of box reports and charts to track and manage individuals and projects
- Integration support with other tools like confluene
Cons
- Not an easily understandable interface for new users to explore by themselves. Dedicated training is required to educate how to use it
- Customization for different projects to records different fields in not very easy for administrators
- Reports and charts are not providing downloadable option to share
- Linking stories to task and sub-task are little bit complex. Can provide drag and drop option.

- Out of box reports and charts to find out to teams capacity and velocity
- Integrated Jira with Clarity tool for managing financial and tracking which project overrun the budgets
- Using Jira we transitioned completely to Agile way of working
Previously we were tracking all projects requirements/solution under Confluence, now using Jira [Software] we have [split] everything in small user-stories and tracking their deliveries against a Jira Id. Now we are following 2 weeks of release cycles which helps to deliver things faster in market and get their early feedback to correct/optimize in next releases.
