Overall Satisfaction with Motive

We are safety consultants and it had been an implemented law that truck drivers who qualify to have an ELD must install one. We came upon Motive and found that their services are accurate, up to date, and sufficient enough for the FMCSA regulations. How we know Motive so well is by having our clients purchase services with them and I help train them and get their ELD's installed in their semis.

Not too terrible on customer support but sometimes it sounds like a VERY distant call which can get in the way of the objective on why the call was made. Lack of communication.
We as a consulting and managing business haven't gained much besides easy access to their accounts on the managerial side and reporting is accurate.
Availability is sometimes scarce but I wouldn't say that it's not ideal. It's just like any other large corporation.

Motive is a lot easier to read. Direct, sufficient, accurate, programmed to show to the eye how the driver is violating log hours or even driving with mileage as to Samara Fleet, it is basic. No help, unsatisfying to the eye on how the program is presented.

Would you buy Motive again?

Yes

For those who are owner-operators, [I felel] they could move along and save money. With that being said you wouldn't have to pay "too much" for just an ELD and monthly services. But I would always recommend Motive first to any of my clients looking for an ELD service. For those who have large fleets, it is HIGHLY recommended. Most accurate tracking, the application for the driver is legible, easy to use, driver and manager pamphlets are supplied along with stickers to show anyone that they are in compliance, and well, you really do pay for the services provided.
