Overall Satisfaction with Klipfolio
We use Klipfolio in full-screen mode on large screen TVs in every department as departmental dashboards, displaying relevant KPIs and metrics to teams on their performance, goals, and trends. Klipfolio has helped us create useful visualizations for data in disparate sources and display it in a consistent interface. Surfacing KPI data to teams and managers in such a prominent way has lead to better awareness and decision making across the board.
Pros
- Simple yet powerful visualization editor
- Integrations with numerous data sources
- Excellent documentation
- Shared/permalink dashboards are perfect for allowing private access without requiring login
- Power Metrics help trend data that isn't otherwise in time-series format
Cons
- Lack of color themes (only light/dark)
I chose Klipfolio for its low-cost-of-entry, the easy to use designer/editor and multitude of data sources expecting to outgrow it 'someday', but have yet to encounter any significant limitations that would make me want to switch. Power BI and Tableau both have much larger learning curves for both designers and users, and neither has the dashboard display features that I (and all our departments) enjoy.

We once had a klip that was not behaving as expected. Rather than telling us what we were trying to do was not supported, the support person helped us redesign the klip, formulas and all, to meet our requirements.
