Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
Kofax Power PDF is used by our entire organization to create and manage PDF documents for the everyday operation of our business. It helps us maintain quality and security of client documents.
- Adding security.
- Microsoft Office conversions.
- Commenting on and editing documents.
- Pages (especially on the pages panel) sometimes load quite slowly.
- Kofax has saved us a great deal of time in accessing and managing PDF documents for our clients.
- Kofax saved us a lot of money (without losing functionality) compared to other PDF products and subscriptions available.
Power PDF is very easy to use and has allowed us to quickly and easily access and manage client documents.
We had previous experience with Nuance Power PDF, so we were familiar with the platform. We had tried a trial of Adobe, but preferred Kofax as it is much easier to use and navigate. On top of being a more user friendly program, Kofax Power PDF is also a lot cheaper. We found it to be an easy decision to go with Kofax over the other options as it was priced better and worked much better for our needs than any other option.

Commenting, highlighting, document conversion (especially Microsoft Office), security, and PDF printing are the features we use most commonly in our organization. These features make it very easy to manage and create PDFs every day.
Using Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
2 - All of our staff uses Kofax Power PDF. Our main use is for client documents and communications. We also provide final deliverables for our paperless clients using Kofax Power PDF. For our paperless clients, we find the password security very useful.

- Managing and sharing client deliverables.
- Placing handwritten signatures has saved us significant time as compared to printing and signing documents.
- We have been able to utilize stamps to place watermarks on documents.
- Saving Microsoft documents as Kofax PDF files rather than printing to PDF is a handy time-saver.
- Sending documents for e-signature directly through Kofax Power PDF would be very beneficial for our organization.

I would say the single most important factor in my decision to purchase Kofax Power PDF for my new company is prior experience with the product (Nuance Power PDF). I used this program at my previous company and was very familiar with the features and usability. Beyond this, I did compare the features and price to product offerings from other providers, but Kofax Power PDF was the obvious choice given the features available and the price.
I would not change anything about my evaluation and selection process. We made the right choice for our organization going with Kofax Power PDF and it did not take long for us to make that decision.

No, we have access to a strong IT department, so we did not feel it was necessary to pay for additional support.
I made an error in ordering, resulting in a need for a refund. The support team was exceptionally quick in processing my request and issuing a refund.
