Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We use Kofax for all PDF-related tasks. This includes reading, Bates labeling, security protocols, editing, combining, comparing, watermarking, etc. OCR is used on every document.
- Bates labeling.
- Apply security and signatures.
- Watermarks.
- Comparing documents.
- Some of the ribbon options are hard to find.
- PDF create is a bit cumbersome to organize.
- We save a lot of time with Kofax.
- We protect our firm and our clients with the security settings.
- OCR makes finding information much easier.
- Bookmarks are easy to turn into a table of contents which is very handy.
I have no concerns with the usefulness and easy of use. The features are pretty easy to figure out and intuitive. We do not have to spend much time training the staff. Kofax makes navigating PDFs easy, esp. since we deal with PDFs that are hundreds or thousands of pages. Combining documents into a single file is easy.
I have little experience with Adobe Acrobat but it seemed a bit more cumbersome. Native PDF viewers are not a fair comparison as they do nothing but display the content without any editing or creative tools.
