Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The ability to integrate with Microsoft Office to export PDFs is a huge time saver and the accuracy is amazing. Securing PDFs for e-mails was a major driving factor for using the product as well.

Pros

Exports to Microsoft Office.
Secure encryption.
Indexing and managing arrangement of multiple sheets.

Cons

Technical Support with Nuance conversion could have been done better/
Expired product licenses should still be allowed to have increased license seats.
A bit pricey.

Ease-of-Use

Very easy to use. The export to Microsoft Office is as easy as a click of a button.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Acrobat DC

Adobe is clunky. I'd pick Kofax over Adobe DC any day. Their right vertical ribbon is annoying and restrictive. I like the functionality interface all on the top ribbon.

Support Rating

When Nuance was expired this was a hard transition. I was not able to add more licenses on the old version and it seemed like Support had trouble finding my account.

  Thank you for pointing out that the licenses do not expire, that is correct. However the versions do expire and I was unable to purchase additional licenses on expired versions with an existing license key. I will look into the chat.

  Yes, once a new version is released, the previous version is no longer available for purchase. Support for that old version will continue for around 2 years. Typically, most of our customers upgrade every few years as they upgrade their Windows and purchase new computers, as older versions may not run well on the latest operating systems. Hope that helps.
