Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance Power PDF)
We produce reports in PDF format, the parts of which are derived from word documents, photos, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, and scanned documents. Kofax is great at helping us assemble final documents from all these pieces.
Pros
- Assembling and organize multipart documents.
- Split documents up.
- Reviewing documents by adding comments.
- Minor edits and mark ups of documents.
- Creating scanned documents for archiving and other purposes.
Cons
- On the left tool bar, the function of the hand and the arrow are confusing. I've tried to figure them out, but gave up. Now if one of them is active, and I'm not getting what I want, I just click on the other, and the program generally starts doing what I wanted it to do.
- I can't think of a negative impact that it has had.
In general I found it to be easy, though I remember struggling with some things a while ago back in the Nuance days.
The functionality of the package.
