Overall Satisfaction with LambdaTest

We used LambdaTest to functionally test and validate key aspects of our journal application: such as functionality of media viewing, polls, education workflows, account signup, subscription flows, ect. Along with the respective responsive and visual aspects of those flows. LambdaTest is especially important to us as a consistent environment for cross-browser and device testing in a remote QA team, as it enables us to test our website against a wide variety of mobile device sizes, OS, and browsers.

Pros

  • Variety of testing devices and browsers
  • Mapping of Desktop interaction to mobile touch
  • Fast spin-up and spin-down
  • Easy screenshotting and video recording feature
  • Ease of use as a tester

Cons

  • Latency and flakiness of some mobile touch, especially on iOS
  • Slower spin-up and spin-down for iOS devices
  • Not easy to zoom in to read small text
  • Fast test execution
As a whole LambdaTest is easy to use, but some flows like moving from desktop to mobile to back can experience some improvements, as the mental categorization of desktop and mobile as two different main categories is not how it is displayed on the site. However, other than that the usability is very high. Perhaps improvements could be made on being clear of whether the base URL is being reset or not between switching modes, but that is a minor thing that occurs with fast testing.

Do you think LambdaTest delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with LambdaTest's feature set?

Yes

Did LambdaTest live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of LambdaTest go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy LambdaTest again?

Yes

LambdaTest is well-suited for testing your web application against mobile workflows, cross-OS and cross-browser situations, as well as checking the real responsiveness of your website. However, due to the latency of LambdaTest, and occasional small discrepancies between mobile flows on the platform vs having real devices, it is still good to use real mobile devices from time to time as they are not always one to one. Sometimes due to the clunkiness of mobile LambdaTest for iOS I would opt to use a physical device for a smoother experience.
