Overall Satisfaction with Linode

I use Linode as a webserver to showcase my blog and podcasts.
  • Bandwidth allocation.
  • Openness.
  • Independent.
  • Upfront cost.
  • Using old hardware.
  • Outdated guides for help.
  • Upfront costs, no usage per hour calculator.
  • Prepay in advance.
They're all the same, to me anyway. The difference is that Linode gives you more bandwidth transfer than the others.
I've never had to use customer support so I can't answer this question.
I really like that they have the total cost upfront and not have to use a calculator like on AWS. Also the ability to prepay for a year or more is the best.
I've had a server in their Dallas cluster and I've never experienced a slow down, shut down, unplanned maintenance, etc.
Linode is great if you want to host a website and don't have to share a server with hundreds, if not thousands, of other websites.
