Overall Satisfaction with Linode

Linode has been our primary offsite Linux server provider since the days when Linux kernel 2.4 has been around. We use it as an offsite public facing web and application server.

Pros

  • Great support.
  • Great value.
  • Fantastic uptime.

Cons

  • Wish the management UI was simpler.
  • Wish they had a datacenter in Toronto.
  • Can’t think of anything else.
  • Low cost.
  • Scalable.
  • Knowledgeable staff.
I haven’t bothered looking elsewhere after using Linode.
I’ve never had a problem with their support. They’ve always been quite helpful and respond to tickets fairly quickly.
I would definitely recommend going with Linode for anyone looking to run their own dedicated LAMP server or public facing game server.
