Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We have three primary Linode servers: one to host our main webpage and front facing user tools, another to provide backend support for our online tools, and a third for development and testing. Since the nodes are so flexible to setup and configure, we can easily add new servers, or modify existing ones, to meet our changing needs.

  • Flexible options means you only pay for what you need.
While DigitalOcean was quite similar to Linode, we found Linode to be slightly less expensive and more flexible in meeting our needs.
During the few times we’ve had server issues, Linode has been adequate in responding to our needs. Response time has been acceptable. During episodes when Linode has suffered security issues, they’ve been upfront and open explaining what has occurred.
Linode is just a great value. They provide fast, flexible server options at affordable prices.
Uptime is everything, as 95% of our interaction with customers depends on our Linode servers being available! In our many years with Linode we’ve only suffered two major downtimes, which we consider more than acceptable.

Based on our experience, Linode is perfect for businesses with modest needs, but considering how well even the most affordable server options handle traffic, I’m sure they can also handle more robust scenarios.
