Overall Satisfaction with Linode

I'm using Linode's VPS services to host all my company and project websites. I chose Linode because they offer VPS servers on different locations worldwide. I had zero experience with VPS and their documentation made it relatively easy to host all my websites. I don't have to depend on shard hosting anymore.
  • Fast.
  • Cheap.
  • Expandable.
  • A little bit more support for website downtime.
  • More options/variations for the cheaper plans would be great (double my CPU currently means 4x more expensive).
  • Lower costs for web hosting.
  • Faster hosting means better SEO, more visitors and higher ad income.
  • Don't have to deal with shared hosting anymore.
I did not try or look into any other providers. Because of a client I knew about Linode and got familiar with their services, dashboard and support. I got a good impression and it was a no-brainer to use Linode for my own VPS needs.
Their support is fast. As mentioned before, a little bit extended support would be nice. There is a support forum, but topics often get no replies. A simple "we can't offer support for questions like these" would help a lot already, so you can move on and find help elsewhere.
I'm not really sure what this means. I'm happy with their services and it's very good value for the money. Although I never had to use it so far, their backup service gives me peace of mind and is very cheap. My Linode bill is about $30 a month, so that is negligible.
Overall I'm quite happy. Although my websites go down relatively a lot. Every time it's for about 10 minutes, but I think it shouldn't happen at all since every time there is no apparent reason. I never have these issues with shared hosting. It's not causing serious problems, although it gets pretty annoying sometimes.
Their dashboard and UI is really clean and works great. Everything you need to know about your VPS is there. It's easy to manage and upgrade your plan, domains and everything else. Their support is good and fast, although after almost 2 years I still don't know why my websites go down every now and then. Their support can't answer questions like this (somehow understandable).
