The Liquibase solution is a business, operations and development toolset that is used to assist in tracking, managing, and applying all database changes within our complex and expanding service platform.

Pros

  • Liquibase provides detailed tracking, managing, and applying database changes in our platform.
  • Liquibase has a detail easy to use dashboard management interface.
  • Liquibase has excellent technical and customer support.

Cons

  • Improvements to custom and pipeline-specific fields
  • Updates to customize user dashboards would help with reporting
  • For our business and platform - a short ROI of about 9 month from investment
  • Improvements in managing all database schemas and complexities
  • Tracking and auditing changes for inclusion in our QMS - Quality Management System
The Liquibase solution has allowed our Dev Ops, development and operations team to simplify all database administration and management with a single resource, tool ad dashboard, improving our efficiency to complete complex and challenging data management tasks.
Liquibase's support team is excellent, both technical support and customer support, they maintain excellent documentation and FAQs for great self-service. If questions or issues arise, we have always been able to get answers in a timely manner.
We looked at Flyway yet if seemed to be not as comprehensive at Liquibase.

The Liquibase solution has provided our company, specifically the development and DevOps team a great way for platform change management and audit traceability of all database changes and updates. It has allowed our DevOps and database teams to improve their way of working and to assist in automating many of their tasks along with managing all data stores in a simple easy to use tool set.
