Overall Satisfaction with Mandrill
Kindful is a donor management system (CRM) for nonprofits. Therefore, customers can set up automatic confirmation emails to be sent to their donors, setup acknowledgment emails to thank donors for their gifts, send out emailed tax summaries at the end of the year and also send internal scheduled reports. Mandrill is the internal emailing system we use to send all of these types of emails within our platform.
- Mandrill's interface is simple to navigate and very intuitive.
- Domain masking is very simple to set-up and the verification process is fast.
- Our system adds a notification when a donor has opened an email; however, we've found inconsistencies with the system where a donor may have opened an email, but Mandrill hasn't sent that notification to our app.
- For the scenario above, when we've reached out to their support, the response has been that it is what it is. I'd like to see the supports take be focusing on improving the platform rather than saying it is what it is.
- It's added a main feature our customers need, which is automatic confirmation emailing.
- It's allowed our app to send schedule reports to users, which is crucial to them managing their nonprofit and core feature prospects look for.
I haven't personally used Sendgrid or Klaviyo before because we had been using Mandrill already. When I joined the company, however, I believe it's overall functionality paired with their price point was more competitive than other solutions out there at the time. With how heavily the app is now integrated with our platform, I don't see us switching to other options out there even if their functionality may be better.
