Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

Our marketing and technical departments use Marketo. Marketing uses it for web tracking/analytics and e-mail marketing automation. Technical uses it for training event registration/marketing automation.

We have not used or evaluated any other products at this time. We chose Marketo based on our sister company in Australia using and loving it!
Marketo should be used by organizations and companies who have a thorough grasp of their marketing goals and how Marketo would work for them. There are lots of options so it can feel a bit overwhelming if your strategy is not nailed down.

Evaluating Marketo and Competitors

Yes - Click Dimensions-- does not do all the things Marketo does. We used it for email marketing and form creation. Marketo offered about 500% more perks and benefits!

Using Marketo

Marketo is very sophisticated--once you get the hang of it, the usability becomes more and more intuitive. Getting started, Marketo can be overwhelming. Definitely take advantage of your consultant during your launch pack as well as office hours and any training you can attend! The more you learn and the more quickly you learn, the more equipped you will be.

  • Tokens are easy and wonderful, allowing marketers to update and customize events, emails and other features easily from one place (top level of program).
  • Email builds are very easy and intuitive. There are many templates and all are mobile responsive!
  • Customizing event programs can be tricky if you have complex marketing automation needs (which we do).
